Showing Cooper Hewitt Museum’s mass digitization effort from the objects’ POV.
Cooper Hewitt made more than 200,000 objects accessible online following an 18-month mass digitization effort in collaboration with the Smithsonian’s Digitization Program Office. In order to achieve the POV look from the object going through the digitization process, we needed to stabilize the camera as well as separate the point of view from the cart that the camera was placed on. To do this, we took advantage of Ronin Gimbal, which allowed us to stabilize as well as remotely operate the camera’s angle.
